Benjamin Haycock blends melodic, percussive and fingerstyle guitar with honest, personal and accomplished lyricism that is up there with the best. He laces this with incredibly tight rap flows and raw, emotive and powerful singing vocals. This is all interwoven to create a truly unique sound with strong character that derives from his personal experiences growing up in Birmingham and later Devon, UK.

Starting out, Benjamin was the songwriting front man to a successful eclectic band that performed at the likes of the 02 Academy, which included instrumentation from the likes of 'Little Comet's' drummer Nathan Green. In 2018, he released his debut solo acoustic EP called 'Time's Transgressions'. Off the back of this, he was invited to take part in 'Fender Undiscovered Artist' and later played at Ad Week Europe. Throughout this time, his music videos were watched by hundreds of thousands of people on large Facebook platforms such as 'Music Crown' and 'YFM'.

In 2021, Benjamin appeared on 'The Voice UK' and astounded the coaches by doing an emotional rendition of his original song 'Restlessness' that he wrote as a letter to his late Father. Suffice to say, all four of the coaches turned around for Benjamin and gave him incredible feedback that entailed calling him the ‘real deal’. He subsequently released ‘Restlessness’ as a single and got to second in the iTunes singer-songwriter charts. He followed up this success by releasing his second EP ‘Enigma’s Quay’ which got to third in the same iTunes chart, with his debut EP making the top five within the same time period.

After this period of success, Benjamin subsequently partnered with Australian guitar company 'Maton' and became one of their prestigious artists and global ambassadors. Some other names on their roster include the likes of John Butler, Tash Sultana, Josh Homme, Keith Urban and Neil Finn.

The latest endeavours that Benjamin has undertaken is in collaboration with The Tree Council. He got commissioned by the charity to compose a piece of music and music video for their nationwide campaign 'Be a Force for Nature'. He released this single and music video on the 9th July as it premiered at 'The Force for Nature Festival', which was broadcast to hundreds of schools throughout the UK. The single has since become critically acclaimed, with one of the largest independent music blogs and magazines NOTION publishing a piece on the single. Benjamin has continued to work alongside The Tree Council over the subsequent months as the lead ambassador for their campaign, with the most recent commission being composing and producing a soundscape for the Tree Council's short film that will be aired at COP26, in conjunction with Derby University. Benjamin has also been part of a working group that has produced the visual and planning parts of the COP26 film.
